South Korea enjoys one of the lowest crime rates worldwide. Even their biggest metropolitan cities such as Seoul, Busan and Incheon, have noticeably lower crime rates than comparable cities in the West, such as New York, Los Angeles and London. Toronto, Canada’s largest city, is consistently ranked the safest major metropolitan city in North America and Korean cities, including Seoul, have comparable overall crime rates but lower violent crime rates.
